The Football Association of Maldives have postponed its 2009 Award Night to April 2010. This is because of the involvement of VB Sports Club and Victory Sports Club in the 2010 AFC Cup. For the Best Service Referee Award, five referees have been shortlisted and three best service referees will be picked for the award by the Referees Committee. They are Mohamed Anil, Ali Saleem, Mohamed Fareed, Hassan Nashid and Ahmed Ameez. The criteria in choosing is based on the most number of FAM matches officiated, most matches as referee, personal performances and also discipline.
