Amir Sharifuddin Wong, aged 55 from a city in North of Peninsula Malaysia, Ipoh, Perak. Before being appointed to this post he is a teacher and the deputy head of a secondary school. A graduate with Master of Management from the Islamic International University of Malaysia, Bachelor degree in Physical Education (University Putra Malaysia) and a Diploma in Education (MPTI). An ex-FIFA Referee (1993-1996), National Referee (1986 - 2000), a member of the Malaysia Football Association Referees Committee, Referee Assessor of AFF and FA Malaysia. FIFA Futuro III Instructor, AFC Regional and MA Instructor, FA Malaysia Instructor and Referees Development Officer for the Perak State.
Prior to this appointment, he was a PE teacher, a key personnel of PE with the Ministry of Education and was also involved in the panel for the curiculum revision on Health Education.
Married with five children. All children are working. Wife is also a teacher. Favourite game is football and volleyball. Love teaching and imparting knowledge on the laws of the games. Always welcome football clubs who wish to know more on the laws of the game. Frank and like people who are opened and sincere.
